How to use
- Senokot Tablets Adult should be taken orally, usually at bedtime with a full glass (8 ounces or 240 milliliters) of water or as directed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on your medical condition and response to the treatment. Do not chew or crush the tablets, swallow them whole.
- It's important to note that the medication can take 6 to 12 hours to produce a bowel movement. Do not take more than directed or for a longer period than prescribed. If your condition persists or worsens, or if bleeding from the rectum occurs, stop using the medication and notify your doctor immediately.
- Drink plenty of fluids, maintain a diet adequate in fiber and engage in regular exercise to prevent constipation. If these steps do not help, consult your doctor.
- Remember, this medication should not be used for more than 7 days unless directed by your doctor. If you think you may have a serious medical problem, get medical help right away.
